    For many years, I have turned to the RSV, but I have found the ESV-CE to be a superb alternative. Its readability and style are particularly appealing. Furthermore, it is the translation employed in lectionaries across the United Kingdom, Scotland, Wales, and India. I wholeheartedly recommend this translation, especially for meditation and in-depth biblical study.
