
Gertrud Von Le Fort
Gertrud von le Fort (1876–1971) was a German novelist and essayist. A convert to Catholicism, she attended the universities of Heidelberg, Berlin, and Marburg. A prolific writer whose poetry and novels won her acclaim throughout Europe, she is the author of The Song at the Scaffold, The Eternal Woman, The Wife of Pilate and Other Stories, and The Innocents and Other Stories.
